We welcome group tours to the Weather Discovery Center. We do ask that groups of 10 or more contact us in advance (at least one week is requested) to make arrangements and to schedule your visit. With sufficient notice, we can depart from our standard tour to provide a visit and associated activities which can focus on special topics of particular interest to you and your group regarding weather and Mount Washington.
Typical time for a visit to the Weather Discovery Center is up to one hour, though special activities can add to the normal time. Minimum recommended age would be about 5. A group size of 20 or smaller allows more specialized attention from our staff; a total group size of 40 to 50 is manageable, with group members taking advantage of different aspects of our museum during the course of their visit.

We especially encourage tours from school groups. Whether for students, teachers, or both, the Weather Discovery Center is a great place to take that next step forward in your exploration of weather.
Admission to the Weather Discovery Center for groups of more than 20 is $3 per person. (This fee helps support the additional staff resources necessary to accommodate large groups. Individuals, families, and small groups can be provided free admission, thanks to ongoing support from Observatory members and other contributors. Donations are gratefully accepted.)
For extra significance, a visit to the Mount Washington Center can be joined with a classroom presentation by one of our staff members, or, from late May to mid-October, with a visit by your group to the summit of Mount Washington, the Observatory's summit weather station, and our Mount Washington Museum (weather permitting).
By special advance arrangement (one month notice requested), we may be able to accommodate group visits before or after our normal hours of 10 AM to 5 PM. Please inquire if such a schedule would facilitate your visit.
