It's hard to believe that we're already half way through the school year.  Time certainly does fly.  And, what a busy time it's been for us at the Mount Washington Observatory.

Here are just a few highlights:

  • Just last week the summit of Mount Washington reached a peak wind of 124 mph.  Wow!  Now that's wind.
  • December 15:  The Weather Discovery Center in North Conway, NH unveiled.
  • We had visits from Good Morning America and CBS News.
  • And, of course I've been busy with Outreach.

This fall  many school groups visited our Weather Discovery Center where students participated in fieldtrips that included an outreach program, Live from the Rockpile and the opportunity to explore the exhibit floor.

As we approach the second half of the school year I am gearing up the Weathermobile because I am hittin' the road (not literally of course).  I'll be visiting schools and science centers throughout the New England area and beyond.  I am thrilled, anxious...just can't wait to visit many of you again and other for the first time.

Don't worry.  There still space left and booking a program is really easy.  Just fill out one of our online program request form.

Well, I hope everyone has been nice this year...and nice in the coming years.

Happy Holidays!

Michelle
