Did anyone see the spectacular sunrise video from the West View webcam on July 31? In addition to a descending cloud layer, shadow of the mountain, and great color, it ends with the moon, just past full, entering in the last few frames. I didn't get around to saving it. Is there an archive of these webcam movies, or did anyone download the file?

ALERT - ALERT - ALERT!

Based on the last 2 West camera images this morning's West Sunrise video should be awesome.

I saved the video from this morning. It was great to watch.

It was one of the best I've seen. Plenty of bright colors and cloud movement. The dissolving undercast was great.

Unbelievable and awesome!!!

The sky is literally exploding with color! Watching the mountain's shadow show up whenever there's a hole in the clouds is pretty neat! It would have been fun to be up there this morning watching but, there's nothing like the time lapse.

They both exploded with color and had great cloud action. They were very different from each other but just awesome to watch. It would have been nice to have today's continue for another hour with that last shaft of light coming across the valley to the right.

It is interesting to watch the North sunrise video for this morning too. It is so different from the west view. The changes in lighting change the tone of the image. But, there is no dramatic colors.

Grab a copy of the West camera sunrise video from this morning. It is excellent. Watch for the summit shadow to track across the clouds as they shift from pink to gray.

I also grabbed the North and Ravines sunrise videos as they were nice too. having a good clear morning is nice to see.

The West, North and Ravines sunrise videos are nice this morning since the visibility is so good. Someone shows up in the West video - looks like s/he was taking pictures of the sunrise.

I noticed that as well. I went frame by frame to see who it was but couldn't tell.

The West and North sunrise videos from yesterday morning have tons of clouds going by with small patches of being able to see a little bit. But, the Ravines sunrise video is all sun and a very small patch of clouds over the summit. Interesting to see the difference.

This morning's seems to be close to the same. It's cool to see a cap cloud that appears to be moving yet remaining stationary.

The sunrise video from the West camera cleared up quite fast and then was nice. However, the North camera stayed in the clouds all the time. Very different views.

The West sunrise video today is probably one of the coolest I have seen.

The Presidentials sunset video tonight is interesting. About half way through you can see some flashes of light west of the cog base station. Then almost at the end there is a bloom of fireworks!

That was cool, I would have missed it if you hadn't pointed that out. This mornings west side cam was neat also in how the fog gives way to the partly cloudy sky with all the coloring. Really nice.

10/6/2007 Presidentials sunset video had fireworks at the same spot again.

10/7/2007 fireworks were quite a long display. Here is the very end of the video.

The North sunrise video right now is still for Saturday Oct 13th. I was hoping to see the snow that seems to be up there.

The Deck sunrise video showed a lot of "people activity" on the deck during the time period.

Check out the West and North camera sunrise videos from today. The undercast to the west is very nice. The clouds looking north looked like waves lapping up to the shore (mountain ridges).

These are both keepers to be saved.

I must have caught yesterday's North sunrise before it changed to today. today's is not as nice as yesterday's.

Here is yesterday's West View sunrise. There are several layers of clouds undulating in different directions, with the summit sandwiched in between. If you are not yet a member, I encourage you to join to receive this really nice benefit.

Seems like there was a low level windshift about halfway through that video.

Mike, thanks for posting that video. It is a nice example of what members have been seeing on some of these sunrise and sunset videos.

The sunset video from the North camera today was nice and pleasant. The shadows flowing over the rocks. It started to get darker. Then SLAM and the clouds socked the view in! wow!

The Presidentials sunset video had some very cool clouds flowing past like waves on the water.

Yea, that was really nice. That cam is usually washed out on clear days due to the sun until it goes far enough toward the west. Evenings are the best.

The sunrise movie on the Ravines cam this morning showed the sky light up over the mountain like a bomb went off just above them then drop down and envelop them. There's quite a difference between cloudless sunrises and ones with clouds.

The North sunrise video stops today (as it has done on other days) just as the sky is getting interesting. The video file was 7.6 MB this morning. Any way we can get the video to run a bit longer? My vote would be - see how long the video can run and stay under 10MB.

Maybe you have other plans ???
