They say the Eastern Coyote has gotten and big, and probably has bred with wolves. This female hung out with me on the Gulf of Slides Trail. I watched her hunt, and I missed getting a shot of a pounce. I had just taken a shot, then was looking at her, not ready to shoot when she pounced(unsuccessfully) on prey. Would've been a sweet shot, but that's ok.

You could give a girl a little privacy while she is trying to go to the bathroom!:D

That's a very good looking coyote.

She looks in good shape and healthy. It is good to see. Do you call the animals or do they just come to you on their own?

If I know anything, I know that a bushy tail marks a healthy critter.

A couple years ago, when I was living in Twin Mountain, I was driving to work in North Conway. On a grassy bank to the North side of 302 I saw an animal that looked very much like this. I thought it was much too large to be a coyote, more like the size of a wolf; maybe two feet at the shoulder.

Beautiful shot! You get the most amazing animal pictures. Have you considered interviewing with National Geographic? You should!
