View Full Version : What I wouldn't give to be in the valley tomorrow...
When the mountain clears tomorrow morning with a fresh coat of the first snow of the season, looming above the peak foliage....boy will that be a site. If someone is in the area, post pictures!

Maybe Patrick will play hooky tomorrow. The heck with that, maybe I'll play hooky!

PS: So, what's the total now?
Go for it! Maybe Jim S will need to take the class on a field trip.

In the future, this would be a sick day or professional day for sure. But my first year, just outside of my first month...I'll contain myself.
Kevin...GO FOR IT!!!

BC said quite inexactly that it was about 3000 feet.

I hope the view is clear in the morning - and the Ravines camera gives us a clear image - and someone on the staff replaces the Ravines camera overnight to improve the image quality. What are the chances of success here?

A midnight trek up Wildcat Mtn. 4 men armed with headlamps, winter clothing and a high quality webcam...I don't see why not?;)

Charlie, if I had known that I would have stopped by PA on my way up. It is still dark at the summit in the Ravines image.

The Lake camera shows it is partly cloudy at the lake.

Now that we have cleared, I think that my estimate of 3000 feet is just about right.
It is absolutely gorgeous up here today and I bet it is impressive in the valley. More on what we have seen up here this morning in a little while when I have a bit more time. Lots to do on the rockpile today with shift change coming up tomorrow.
The 9:00AM Ravines image is very nice! We do need a more up to date camera positioned there.

you know i do like it that there are observers taking time to post here and making this forum better but they do have to stop telling us how nice it is up there or we will have to have a fund raiser to build more bunk rooms up there so we can spend more time up there .:D
