I'm getting used to the new Canon 400D. This is with the Sigma 24-70mm @70mm, ISO100, WB sunny, f/20, underexposed 1 stop, tripod.

Nice picture. Do you know the name of that little hill with the rock outcroppings to the right of center?

I'm pretty sure it's Iron Mountain. Outstanding as always, FG! You did play hooky today, didn't you?

Seems the 400D is one of the Rebel series. They are a nice set of cameras - I am sure you will like it. You playing hooky is a good deal for us. we get to see cool pictures. What a day!

Correct with Iron Mountain. I lived below it the last few years and have been up it numberous times. Nice hike, terrible trail!

Forestgnome, BEAUTIFUL shot and very envious of you today. You did great with the exposure to hold detail in the sky and the mountain! Gorgeous!

Thanks, all. The ridge in the foreground is Little Attitash. The next ridge in is the one that has Mt. Stanton and Mt. Parker. There are some nice views from there into the Dry River Wilderness and Mt Washington. The next one is Iron Mt., and there is a spur trail to those ledges, but I've never hiked it. Maybe Jim has, and what about the view from Green Hill? Nice?

happy trails :)
