So do you think you'll get the winds from Noel this weekend or is that storm too far out to sea as it comes up the coast?

Depends where you live, the farther east the better. Exposure to the ocean also helps.

I was just looking at the forecast for Cape Cod and they are looking at 75mph gusts. New York City could have gusts in the 50's. I'll be there all weekend with access to the roof of a high rise so that could be exciting. Its a good thing this is a fast mover, I'm running the NYC marathon on Sunday and 50mph winds while running on the Verrazano Narrows Bridge does not sound like fun.

I was looking at some guidance and MWO should easily go above 100mph, but they stay dry and cold throughout the storm.

I hope all the fishing boats off the coast up there get in and stay in. The Atlantic will be no place to be this weekend!

The Grand Banks are no joke in October, or early November for that matter.

I went for a 2 mile walk this afternoon in the rain. Barely any gusts here in Manchester. I was kinda disappointed, I had all my rain gear on, was hoping for some pouring rain and strong winds.

Hmmm, I was outside all day at a fair. Not a cloud in the sky and feel a bit of a burn on my face. Must have been elsewhere.

I'm guessing you are in Maine right now?

Winds seem to be between 25-30 mph along the Maine coast this evening with gusts to almost 40 mph in some places.

No, NC this weekend. I head north this week since next weekend is a long weekend.

I see. Well I think you will need your winter coat. I think it's gonna be cold up there this week.

They are saying it will get down to 24 degrees Thursday night - when I am driving north. Now to get the plumber to the house to finish his work in the garage before it gets cold. . .

He must be working on the driveway heating system?
