Some great images on the webcams this morning. 120 mile vis with dense undercast to the west and north.
Not to mention, a nearly full moon sitting over the summit.

The Tucks sunrise movie captured the moon perfectly as well.
We were trying to find a spot on our way back to HoJo's to get a good moon picture. No luck though. It was beautiful to watch driving over from Maine.

Any chance the summit zoom got an ever better shot?

I was surprised to see a clear view of the summit on the Presidential cam and the west view is clear. Doesn't seem to happen that often.:)

It may have captured the moon over the summit. I do not archive the zommed images since they are only available to members.

While the timelapse videos are being recorded, the cameras remain fixed and do not move to the additional presets. That is, for about 90 minutes after sunrise, the Ravines cam will not show Tucks, Huntington, etc.

...the west view is clear.
That side of the building gets hammered by rime ice. A heated enclosure would help, but the view would still be iced up for much of the cold season.

Looks like a lucky photographer caught the same image as the webcam on 12/26:
