A bull moose in the roadway at sunrise. He recently lost his antlers. The holes on his head are freshly bloody...

I left the trail about a half mile down and bushwacked the rest of the way down, exploring the western slopes. I found this fresh antler, which was dropped only a few days earlier, since it was on top of most of the snow...

I followed a very fresh track and caught up to this bull moose who hasn't dropped his antlers yet...

I layed down to get a shot of him. He looked at me and immediately layed down, then started napping...

We hiked through Bunnell Notch on Saturday and there was moose tracks all over. May be some good photo ops for you. They smell us coming with a dog a mile away. Thanks for sending your pics over here, too, everyone here loves your pictures. Someday I may nap with moose, but for now, Emma will more than do.

How about "spooning with the moose"?

Patrick you must be part moose, I've been hiking for years and have never seen one in the wild, unless you call Rt16 wild.
