Hopefully the shelter in Conway is getting tons of calls about folks wanting to adopt Wilson and Sarah - or other animals. Please keep us posted on how you are doing.

I would adopt Wilson but I don't have the money to have him shipped to Florida.

Maybe we could have KD run him to Charlie, Charlie run him to Brad, and I could meet Brad half way. That would work great.

The Kitty Express? So you're going to take over the Auto Train and fill it full of cats?

I've always had a dog and never been much of a cat lover, plus I'm allergic.

But last year my Fiance moved here and he has a black cat named Zee, he brought her to my apartment last Christmas and she's still here, LOL. Now the allergies don't bother me that much, I've gotten immune I guess. She only lays in certain spots where I have a cover for her to keep down the fur and I vacuum a lot. I REALLY Love her...

I really wish I could take Sara, I'd even drive up for her, but I don't think I could handle two cats.

Another option is when I drive from Maine to NC on January 22nd I can bring kitty with me. Then all you have to do is get him from NC. 2 weeks after that I will be driving to Florida for the weekend - I wonder if I could keep kitty (alive) for 2 weeks.

Why would you eat poor Wilson?

I did not say anything about eating poor kitty. Kitty has to be fed and taken care of. With my schedule it might be a tough 2 weeks. But, we could work something out if this would help kitty get to a good home.

I'm not sure having me be involved is a good idea. My wife would intercept Wilson in a heartbeat, and you'd be kittiless.

Anyway, I hate to talk politics here, but, about all this election stuff. Let's not forget the lesson we learned in the last presidential election, that winning the popular vote doesn't necessarily put you in the whitehouse.

OK, I'm done. Take your shots now.

That....would...be...awesome. I'd live there. With all the kitties.

KD, the election was not even close. Even with a few folks fudging in extra votes, Marty was the clear winner. As long as he does not bite an observer in the interview, he has it in the bag - bed - and beyond.

Meh...kitty bites are no biggie. My two bite me all the time, and my big girl draws blood on some of my friends :D

With Wilson's popularity now, being a nominee as a summit cat, I'm not so sure he has not been adopted already. He won't last long so maybe I should get on the stick..or phone.:)

I'm glad others thought of adopting the runners-up. We certainly would but we just found in September a 4 week old male left abandoned. Once he was negative for diseases we kept him. He's a cute little guy and we called him General John Stark. Its great hearing the receptionist at the vet call that one out.

We too have a dog that was a neighborhood stray 3 years ago. He is the nicest best dog you could ever imagine. Working with the Conway shelter to get a dog or cat is something folks should seriously think about if they are interested in adding a pet to their family.

This is the first election that I have actually liked the candidates. I congratulate Marty, although I still would have preferred to see Wilson on the summit. I have three cats, if I adopt another I think Eve will smother me in my sleep. She still hasn't gotten over the kitten I brought home last year, although they are friends. I hope some kind folks will adopt Sarah and Wilson. They are both great cats! (assuming, of course that the electoral collage doesn't decide on one of them).

Well, did you get on the phone and get one of the runners-up?

No. I had a talk with the wife before I did it and she doesn't want a cat. She doesn't want to have a cat and a dog, and since we already have a dog, the cat is out.
