I am looking for hiking and climbing buddies in the NY area. I have some winter hiking experience and basic climbing experience, but would like to get better at it.

not actually NYC, but long island which is very close to NYC.

I actually meant mountaineering/ice-climbing buddies. There's no no meetup or any group for that here in NYC.
