Just finished reading the last obs. If my math is right...36.8" of snow have now fallen this month, moving October 2006 into second place in the record books.

October 1969 is now #3 w/ 34.4, and last year remains #1 by a long shot at 78.9!

With the upslope snow in the forecast behind the storm up there now...any chance at #1?!?!?! Only 42+ more inches...

The only chance is if the Tip Top drift lines itself up with the precip can. I wouldn't hold your breath though. Post frontal winds should be exciting tomorrow.

Winds hit 99.1 mph today for the peak.

Winds on Mount Washington are typically strongest post-frontal passage as high pressure begins to build. Model guidance suggests the highest winds will not be until Sunday night.
