I figured I'd start up the March snowfall guesses. Does a deadline of March 3 at 1159pm seem ok with everyone?

I'll start with a guess of 43.3" (the average March snowfall during leap years since 1948).

Not to influence anyones decisions but here are some things to consider maybe for March:

Average snowfall: 54.1 inches (30 year average that we use on the F-6)
Average snowfall from 1933-1995: 42.5 inches
Normal precipitation (melted equivalent): 9.42 inches (30 year average that we use on the F-6)

Being we are half way through the month and have only 18.1 inches so far - you might be real close at the end of the month.

Bill O

Long wave troughing for the second half of the month. Could be cold and snowy.

Steve M
03-12-2008, 09:44 PM

Is it too late for me to guess?

Nice job Treant. You persevered when others failed. You stood tall like the giant that is Mount Washington yet remain humble like a gentle snowfall on a windless summit. You guessed correct when others completely forgot to enter the competition.

For that....you win nothing. Except the title of Mount Washington's Greatest Snowfall Guesser Person March 2008. MWGSGP March 2008 for short.

Didn't I win February's snowfall guess too? My system must really be working!
