I enjoyed BillO's Mountain Quiz #1 (http://www.mountwashington.org/forums/showthread.php?t=3358) so much, I thought I'd follow it up with another one.

Kevin's rules apply. One guess per person per day.Enjoy...

#1) Without the cloud cover, it would be too easy

#5 Camel's Hump in Vermont?

There are some hard ones here.

#8 is Mount Moran in the Tetons. I have a feeling there are some other Tetons here, but not from the usual angle.

There are still a few left to answer on my quiz. I'll give some hints.

This is a shot in the dark, but is #6 Mount Saint Elias in Alaska?

If I'm wrong I'm guessing another one today.

I'm pretty sure those are Presidentials, just not sure which one.

This is a shot in the dark, but is #6 Mount Saint Elias in Alaska? Close enough. I was actually hoping someone would know for sure. This photo was taken on a cruise off the SE Alaskan coast.

I'm pretty sure those are Presidentials, just not sure which one. #4 is a matter of perspective as you can't see the very peak. You're on the right track though. Look at the features closely.

I figured it was Alaska with the USCG helicopter and no place in the lower 48 looks like that. Can you pinpoint the location within 50 miles? If so we could easily determine what peak it is.

I can't believe I have to wait another day to make another guess. Hmmm.

I would have to guess in the vicinity of Glacier Bay. I'll have to dig out a few other photos of the helicopter that may provide some more clues from the background.

# 4 sure looks like Boott Spur looking from the east south east.

More of ENE. Photo was taken from near RT 16 by the Auto Road entrance.

Some hints: 2, 3 & 9 are out West. 5 in in the East and you've probably driven by this view (but only in the past ~5-6 years).

I know what #2 and #3 are. Just waiting for my turn. I think #9 is in the Canadian Rockies, I'm not familiar with any mountains in the US that look like that. Devil's Tower, maybe, but its much smaller and thats not it.

Just wanted to add to #4 that on the right is Nelson Crag.

#5 is Kearsarge North from Pudding Pond, is it not?

Yagshemash!

When I was wrestling big brown bear in Glacier Park I notice that mountain in #3.

It is Clements Mountain, Glacier Park, Montana.

Bear remind me of wife...only smaller.

Borat - you kid (big), but are on Target (o)

KDT - waive to the Puddin' beavers. For those wondering about the hint -- North-South Road in North Conway opened ~5.5 years ago.

I believe #2 is the Grand Teton, from an unusual angle (from Idaho).

Borat S just sent me some really inappropriate private message about his misguided trip to see the really big Tetons in Wyoming.

I'm still in the dark on #9. It has to be in the Canadian Rockies, but I haven't a clue what it is called.

Correct Bill! It's been a while, but I believe the photo was taken from the Eastern side, possibly near Jenny Lake.

#9 is still up for grabs. It is not in Canada, although it is visible from Alberta. As BillO guessed, it is not Devil's Tower, although it was once called Tower Mountain. Guess this one right, and you shall be hailed (and I don't mean by ice).

Which means its in Montana. I found it, but I'll let somebody else guess....for now.

The mountain is big, but your photo made it look even bigger, which is why I didn't think there was a mountain like that in the US with that much prominence.

I think I recongnize #9 as a mountain called "The Chief" ???

Edit...on that info and recollection, I have found Chief Mountain in Montana...

For what it's worth, my guess is Mount Marcus Baker, Chugach mountain range, Alaska.
