Question

Came across this question on another forum:

This is a crop of a zoom photo I took of Mt. Washington from the summit of South Baldface today. What are the three bright white chevron shaped things below the summit parking lots? (they didn't move)

The photo was taken at 11:51 AM. So, here is the Ravines image at 11:15 AM with no objects.

At 1:00 PM there was just one object visible. In the 1:15 PM image they were gone.

No, they land at Devil's Tower in Wyoming!

Looks like hang gliders.

I think that Rich is right. That they were some sort of flying machines, whether hang gliders or ultralights I'm not sure. Usually they're more colorful, but who knows.

I noticed the temp was around 65 and the wind 5mph at 3PM on the summit. Perfect flying weather!

There were actually 4 folks that jumped off the summit in gliders yesterday. Fun to see them land in the Glen field!

They said they were coming but not now. They were supposed to wait and not be seen so easily. I am now wondering what went wrong. See, Charlie and I were hiking up Lions Head for STP - and we heard voices. . .

They were hiding then.
