I drove up to the cog railway today to shoot a few panos..
1) #9 heading up from the coal hopper
http://www.kmembrydesign.com/cog/cog.html
2) #9 getting ready to push the coach up the mountain

I then drove down to the shop to see if I could get some pictures, and the guys were gracious enough to show me around so I could get some great "behind the scenes" shots..
3) The engine/machine shop

4) Outside the shop next to #10 "Kroflite" (the crow was always my favorite!)

5) outside the #8 coach, newly restored

6) Interior of the #8 coach(the master carpenter said he spent 6 months making those seats, stunning!)

Ok, I gotta know how you get this shot.

I realize you're not 12ft in the air and that this is distorted, but it would seem your camera would have to be almost on the ceiling in the very back corner.
Cool shots, btw.

It was shot on a tripod, with the camera at about 5.5' off the ground.
I did a little photoshop magic to remove the camera tripod from the shot :)

Simply beautiful work as usual! Amazing how some of these can take something as boring as a dingy machine shop and make if fascinating to explore.
Kirk, show them the winery! I love that one.

The interior coach shot was bothering me with the blown out highlights in the windows, so I fixed it..

We we at this winery in July. The pano makes it feel just like being back inside again. These are just amazing!

Always makes it interesting when the same person appears twice in "one" picture...

It's not really a filter, just some photoshop editing, I just call it that because it is pretty creepy.
