Here are some pictures from July of this year.
Mt. Foraker with a lenticular over top.
Mt. Hunter

These were all taken from the North East fork of the Kahiltna Glacier. I can't wait to get back there.

I was truly blessed to have been able to be there. One of our instructors told us that in his opinion, looking at the view from the Kahiltna was the best view on earth. He has been to quite a few different mountain ranges.

When you go, If you are not taking a wilderness course, mountaineering course or attempting to summit any of mountain peaks in Alaska, I would say that it would be worth every penny to do a glacier landing flight. The weather will determine where you land, but while we were up on the glacier, we saw some folks who had payed for a glacier landing tour and they were allowed to step out onto the glacier for a few minutes to soak up the atmosphere.

I concur. Go to Talkeetna and take a flight to the glacier. Its remarkably affordable and unforgettable. I took my parents up there before my climb.
