We had planned to get back to NH to hike this weekend but it didn't quite work out. (Something to do with spending the day Saturday on ladders with a paintbrush, but that's another story). We wound up spending the day today on the East Bay Bike Path in Barrington/Bristol RI. Made me realize how lucky we are to be in New England in the fall and the we don't always need to be in the mountains to get some spectacular scenery. (Still want to get back to the mountains this fall though...)

Very nice! Yes, no mountains, but you have the OCEAN in your shots. (it's always been a toss up for me, ocean or mountains).

That's why I live in NH and visit my parents on the coast of Maine :) I get to see both all of the time.

And I have my mini-ocean in Meredith :)

Your second photo "Fall colors and textures" is my favorite, I like how many different trees and plants there are, all different colors, almost looks tropical.

I totally agree Kirk. I love to be at the ocean, and in the mountains!! But since I live in the White Mountains, all I have to do is drive to Hampton Beach before the beach bum tourists show up for the summer:D

Lovely pics Mark!!

I have to say that I agree with you. I don't know how I could ever give up living near the ocean. It's also why I love Acadia so much. Mountains and ocean that come together in one place. Now that's paradise. Your solution is pretty good too.:)

Mark,

Very nice pictures! The fellow we waterskied with this weekend in Maine has another ski boat in the Bristol/Warren area to use during the week. That is a nice part of the state.

Here's one more of the currently spectacular fall foliage in southern New England. Thought this was supposed to be a bad year? I go by this spot going to and from work and the morning and evening light have been incredible here lately. Makes me enjoy the commute even more than usual.
