Its the French way of saying it. French would be preceding, English would be after.

"Fiber Optics" is not the way we should say it. That's a direct French translation. We would normally call them "optical fibers" not "fiber optics".

ice skating! Oh man! I thought we were going to be able to skate here at Thanksgiving, then it rained. It's been unseasonably warm since. Soon, I hope! Next to hiking in the mountains, I love skating for miles on a frozen lake best.

We actually have some amazing skating down here...when the weather is right. We're also less likely to have snow ruin the ice. I like it when the ice is so clear it feels like you are floating or walking on water.

I haven't been skating on a pond or lake for years and years. Those shots bring back memories. We usually skate indoors but it sometimes gets crowded and the ice can be nasty if they don't bring out the Zamboni regularly.
