Since I can't get to the mountains this time of year, I decided to climb the hill behind my house which holds a 35 foot statue of the Madonna and take some pictures.

Nice image! But I thought Madonna was from Detroit? I know she was 'Like a Virgin' but I don't know if a statue is needed. :P

I know that statue. You can see it from the runways at Logan.
Great shot. I was just in Boston this past weekend. It was good to be home. Wish the circumstances had been better.

Thanks guys :)
Yes, it is a very distinctive landmark...after we were at the statue, we walked over to the cross overlooking RT 1A and stood next to it. It is much taller than you think.
What a great picture and a perfect spot to catch the city skyline. Oh, it must have been cold out there though!
The street lights have turned to stars so the exposure was a long one.

I love turning the lights into stars :) Makes it seem more seasonal. That night, it was about 50 degrees out so it was rather nice, but windy. Tonight, it is freeeeezing!

I love Boston too. One of my best friends is from Roslindale, now lives in Dedham. Before he got married, I used to go up all the time. Tons of fun and memories...
