Went up Saturday January 3rd to climb the Kinsmans via Fishing Jimmy. On the way down we crossed over Lonesome Lake right as the sun was started to set. Here's a couple of shots:

Oh yeah! Those are fantastic. This is a great 'short' hike and so beautiful in the winter. You got some great colors and clouds! Thanks for bringing back good memories...

Fantastic! All the pics are great but the first one is amazing. Just a wonderful combination of light and colors (and it doesn't hurt that it's of Franconia Ridge).

The timing was just about right. I think it got slightly better about 15 minutes later but we were already half way down Lonesome Lake trail and the views were through the trees. Times like that I wish I had my DSLR instead of my Panasonic point and shoot.

We also met up with Cumulus and Gwynna from R.O.T. on the way down which was a treat.

hello all!
i've a question and thought i'd ask the fabulous photographers that frequent this forum. many years back, i had a canon (film) slr and now use a canon powershot sd1000. i'm wanting to buy a digital slr...thinking again of a canon.
i'd like it to have both automatic and manual capabilities and have been considering the canon rebel xsi. any thoughts or suggestions on that particular camera or any other?
thanks!

I know several people with Rebels and they like them - and produce very good pictures.
