View Full Version : Brian was just on WMUR TV...
Just saw Brian's interview on WMUR TV. Great job...short, but too the point, and always great to make the local news...
BUT...
WMUR needs an email...
They credited the webcams to mountwashingtonobservatory.com
Where the heck did they get that one from???

That website has been around nearly as long as mountwashington.org.
It says right on the website who he is. Adam R. Jones. He hasn't updated that site in years.
Is he allowed to do this? Why not? Anybody can register a domain name.

He has a link to the MWO site on his home page.

same guy also owns www.mountwashington.net
.us, .mobi, and .eu are also taken by various people.
.us.com, .bz, .co.uk, .biz, .tv, .cc and .de are all available though

I am not sure why WMUR can never give proper credit to us. They have done enough stories with or about us this year that you would think by now they would have us our address down. Instead, it is either no credit or inproper credit. It is almost like they do not have a think called the internet.

Poor quality control. Whoever is in charge of correcting mistakes is not doing their job.

I was thinking about this again last night. Since this guy hasn't updated his site in a long time and obviously is getting any real benefit out of it why not try to buy it from him (meaning having the OBS buy the domain name, not the site). It could then simply be an alternate domain name for here which would likely get a lot more traffic here since mountwashington.com is likely to be the first place someone is going to look.
Right - just have a request to www.mountwashington.com redirect to www.mountwashington.org.
