I just left REI and they have these on sale with a snap out polyester fleece liner. Has anybody tried these? I went to buy some fleece pants and some outer pants and that would have been about 200.00 but these are both for 139.00. Any feedback would be great before I order. Of course they only had medium left at the store but I need large.

I have a similar pair for skiing or whatever. You may find them too warm for snowshoeing. Dress in layers up top so you can cool down.
You might want to look for a pair that zips or buttons and velcros up the side so you can pull them on/off over your boots, but these should do.

They will work. I agree with Kevin though. Side zips would be best. I'm guessing these pants will be a little on the heavy side as they are made to withstand a beating from snowboarding.

Thanks for the replies KDT and Bill. I was just trying to save a few bucks but I think that maybe they will be a little on the heavy side . That said I think I will be going with these two. Rei Thermo Lt pants http://www.rei.com/product/730348
and Marmot Cargo shell pants
I have a pair of ski pants but I was looking at these cargo pants for the pockets are nice to keep maps and etc in. Has anybody had any experience with these? I also have already got my mid weight base from EMS.
Thanks again guys.
