If you are referring to the summit observers, I can say 100% it was not us. Brian was out hiking at that time, Jim is no longer an ober. and I was asleep. But maybe you know of three hikers by that name, then maybe you are correct.

You don't need to stand out there for 15 minutes... They snap on the quarter hour, so if you're clever and sync a watch with the camera in advance, you can get away with a mere 15 seconds or so -- I did it (not shirtless) myself last time I went up...
