Huntinton Ravine/Central gully accident

We were on the central gully this sat when one of the guys from the team right above us decided to unrope and descend. The next thing i knew was him sliding right past us all the way down to the floor of the ravine. It was a pretty bad fall. The guide with whom i was immediately called the rescue operations and we headed down immediately to him.

It took us a while to get down, but there were a lot of climbers who had just started the climb and they got there quickly. The rescue squad was also there pretty soon.

I probably saw you as you were headed up to the winter trail unless you were real early. I was at HoJo's till 7:30 AM and then headed back down to PNVC. I was alone - treking poles - and a large tripod fastened to the back of my pack. Might have looked odd as I still had my headlamp on my head.
