Very cool - thanks for posting. I'm climbing again with Dave Hahn on Mckinley this June and I'm anxious to hear tales from this trip - he's a great storyteller.

Those guys are wimps. Climbing Mount Everest only counts if you travel by human power from your home. Flying across the ocean? Lame.
Thanks for sharing, those videos really take me back. I was there in June and it was so much quieter. Most of the porters had gone home to work and the trails were mostly empty. Namche was also much quieter. I'm sure it has also changed a lot in the past 8 years.
I laughed when Ed was at Lukla and said it was all up hill from here. Well, it is...after you descend a thousand or so feet down to the Dudh Kosi river. And after Namche you descend at least a thousand, back to the river then up to Tengboche on a ridge. After that you go to the river one more time...and then it's all uphill.
I'm not sure what the rules are now, but most climbers actually bypass Lukla and fly by helicopter to the airfield above Namche, saving a few days of hiking. Porters tend to object since it means less money for them.

Looks like those that were ready to summit had to come down off the mountain because of winds and foul weather coming. They will attempt again in a week or so.

Video of an avalanche on the Khumbu Icefall route a couple of days ago. Sadly this one claimed a life.
