another cow, who looks familiar if the patch on her back looks this way after she looses her winter coat...Compare her to the cow ( on the left ) in the link below.

Thanks! But I realized that the pic in the link was from last fall and they already have some of their winter coat. I think it is the same moose, and it's certainly within range; it was only a half mile away. Different light makes their coat look more brown or more black. They also tend to have more body mass in autumn than in spring.

Patrick, your pictures just amaze me every single time. It is like the Moose and other animals just come to you. You really do have a gift...

I wish so badly that I would be able to get up there for the 16th, but it's not going to happen. Hopefully they will do this again.
