Just got a new lens to replace my good ol' workhorse, RIP.

New lens is a Sigma 17mm-70mm. I was worried about it, but I think I'm going to love it. Here's my first pic, from last night, with onboard flash...

She has at least one newborn, who was waiting impatiently in the woods while mama feasted on roadside grass. It sounded like the little hooves of a deer but stayed in one place. Occasionally mama would snort in that direction. I was hoping to see baby but after an hour I gave up.

happy trails :)

Great shot. Seeing the baby would have been way cool. Good luck with your new lens. I love getting new lenses :D.

BTW, that's not really tall grass; she's laying in it. ;)

She seems to love the new lens ;)

Looking forward to even more great shots as you continue to try it out.

It still amazes me that you get that close to them and they are fine with it.
