Looking at the forecast for the weekend, and the enteded school year ala ice storm, I figured that last night and this morning were my only chances to shoot the Lupine festival before they faded.

Left at 4PM...shot sunset, slept in the car near the fields, woke up at 4:30, and was graced by fantastic atmospheric light!

Here's the morning's highlights. Many more to process, but no time until school's done!

Sunrise, with Mount Washington!

Very nice. Erica and I were talking about all the lupine on our drive to VT yesterday. I even mentioned that other great lupine shot on your website.

Fantastic shots Jim. Worth the effort that it took based on the results. As we started seeing the Lupines along the side of the road driving through NH yesterday I was thinking about your shots of the Sugar Hill field from last year and wondering what it was looking like now. You certainly answered my question!

Fabulous pictures. The lighting in each one is unique and different. The last one is my favorite followed by the macro shot.

Thanks guys...the lupines are a special show...but my favorite fields in Jefferson/Gorham/Randolph aren't ready until next weekend...I hope to go back up...time and weather depending.

I have one more I want to share...this was taken as the dew point was rising, right before all that atmospheric fog moved in...and Dew covered my lens...before I switched to a dry filter, I shot off a few frames through it...

I think I like this effect!

Absolutely beautiful!!! I like the effect of the dewy lens.

The first image, with sun peeking over the mountains is my favorite. That is just stunning.

Congrats!!! :)
