Too bad it won't last though as cooler than normal and wet weather is making a return starting tomorrow.

After waterskiing please.
The forecast sites say rain every day this week. As the observers look out thru the week, do you see any days where the clouds could be low enough to have summit visibility - to take house guests up and have a view?

I had posted this question to Ryan and Brian on Facebook. Ryan's answer was right on! He said the best day would be today and get to the summit fast as it will close in with storms later today.
So, we drove the kids to the summit on the Auto Road and wandered around up there. Staci gave us a nice tour and the kids had a couple of cameras to take any pictures they wanted. As Ryan predicted, we were in and out of the clouds going up. But, at the summit we were mostly sunny with clouds all around and below us. A very nice day - considering the overcast day they had back in Maine.

Glad to hear you made it up. By the looks of the pics on facebook, the weather worked out for ya. It was a good thing you made it up as Friday is now looking less likely :(.
Just as we were about to sit for lunch on the deck, the thunder came through and winds & rain started. Here is what the lake web camera saw.
