Great find!

The willingness and ability to help out in an emergency is one of the most important parts of our collective wilderness experiences. When you go out to get away from it all, it's reassuring to know that there are folks like Patrick also getting away from it all and willing to help carry your butt out! A thanks to Patrick for that...

While I wish noone a backcountry medical emergency, I do wish everyone gets the chance to help with a rescue opperation. Gives you quite a bit of perspective, helps with teamwork and communication skills, and generally is a feel good event for *almost everyone involved.

And for those looking to increase their individual preparedness, SOLO in conway is an amazing place to take a wilderness first aid course...

Great job Patrick. It's always nice to know that there are folks around who will help others at a drop of the hat.
