Since we're all here because of our passion for weather, I thought this would be an interesting thread...I've also seen it elsewhere. ;)

Tell us what's going on weather-wise in your part of the world. You can be as descriptive as you like, or just post the latest hourly.

Look! We're in the clouds! :)

For one of the first days all summer it is sunny and warm out. No one was on the lake with us for waterskiing this morning on very flat water.

Just north of Philadelphia, PA it's mostly sunny and hazy, 86 degrees, with a chance of afternoon thunderstorms.

Not really sure. It feels hot, it's humid, but the air temp isn't that high.

All I know is that we haven't beaten are high from April yet.

It's the little things that keep me excited....

I Finally got to officially code smoke today and for those who don't know, the present wx abbreviation for smoke is FU. It can get a little comical when giving out this info to people who have a good sense of humor.

I am watching my lakeside web camera and the clouds moving along and their reflections on the smooth lake are really nice this morning. 61 F and a bit warmer today.

Left Franconia Notch at about 2PM this afternoon at about 75 degrees and partly cloudy to arrive home to 92 degrees and dewpoints probably in the high 60's to low 70's.No wonder I love the Mountains sooo much. This weather stinks!!!!

Gotta' agree with that! After a perfect, crystal clear day hiking Saturday we camped Saturday night above Crawford Notch. Temps about 62 Saturday at 7pm, woke up to 37 and visible breath Sunday morning. Hiked in just my shorts Sunday. Came home to 90+ and 70 dewpoint today. I hate H+H.

I agree with everything up to the end. Down with H+H and bring back the crisp days and cool (or even cold) nights. But please, lets have a little fall before the snow!

Edit: As I was posting this the thunderstorms started to roll in. Hopefully something cooler behind them... (as long as it isn't snow)

Hey, thanks for the heads up???????

Yesterday was pretty exciting, and at your post time, Northern Coos NH and Northern Oxford ME were in the thick of it. Bad. Raining Oodles of Poodles, nonstop thunder and frightening, high winds.

Tornado confirmed in Oxford Cty. Very Atypical terrain for a twister. No injuries or loss of life, but some significant property damage.

We are still wondering tonight if this is New England or the Louisiana Gulf Coast. I'm hearing boomers right now to the west and wondering how my family waterfront property on Frenchmans Bay in Hancock County ( ME) is going to fare tomorrow. It is hot, humid and not a breath of air. Swamp weather. Alligators of the corn, Unite.

" Bill" is in slingshot mode , his boundaries are well set between an Azores High and a persistent Bermuda High, enhanced and over arched by an upper level Canadian Clipper. Even though BILL IS well out on the rails to the east of us, we have this cold front coming down from Canada for next week that really wants to send Jim Cantore and The Weather Channel staff on vacation to St Vincent / Grenadines until Thanksgiving.

Laughing yet? I hope so.

Right now at my abode in Western MA it is 81 degrees with 58% humidity, dewpoint 65. Sunny, winds are calm. Visibility is about 10 miles. Pressure is slowly rising; 30.02 current.

I missed all the rain and tornado warning we had here at home this past weekend because I was too busy dodging the same type of weather up in N. Conway and scaling Washington :)

I was just jumping around the NWS map (http://www.weather.gov/) that afternoon and saw the red tornado warning box in ME and thought... nah, can't be! That's what we've been dealing with alot this summer here in sunny CO. It's been one heck of a hail, fire and brimstone kind of summer out here.

Glad no one was hurt. :)

Generally highs in the days in the upper 60-low 70's and overnight lows in the mid to upper 40's in the foothills of the blue ridge

It did snow here, we had the heaviest October snow since 1997. The official count for Denver was 14.2". But as of last afternoon, from what I saw it was melting fast. Today is supposed to be partly sunny and in the 30's to 40's. right now it is still lookng cloudy, but if the sun comes out it could melt off pretty fast.

I'll second that. Wouldn't hurt to wait till the World Series is over too. Wouldn't want it to snow on the "Boys of October" - whoops, the "Boys of November".

And I am sure Charlie is watching the water temperatures in my driveway melt system, checking the control panel web camera, and watching the driveway web camera to see what is happening. The furnace turned off in the night, so I had to restart things this morning.

We had one of the most unique snow events I've seen in my town. We received heavy snow after midnight and had 2-3" on the ground by 5am when it turned to rain. Plows were out in full force all night. Places in town less than a half mile away had no snow at all. These places were closer to the Sound, but not necessarily lower elevation than my house.

Outside of the mountains I have never seen such a distinct swing between full winter storm and rain storm over such a short distance.
