As we reached the summit, I saw lots of bicycles. Then I realized it was the hill climb challenge.

Here's a shot after I got off the cog:

I then climbed down the rocks near the turn to get a closer shot of the truely dedicated bikers.

Great shots...almost as good as being there!

Great shots.

The best part is those bikers are only a few minutes (and not always) faster than the runners.

Cool panos!

My son and I hiked up from PNVC to Lows Bald Spot and then stayed along the auto road to watch the race go by and shoot a few pictures. The highlight for us was the 10 yr old (he was 9 last year when he set the record as youngest finisher). He weaved in and out of folks like he was enjoying an afternoon joyride and chatted with everyone willing (and able) to carry on a conversation.

Some pictures of Lows and the race. (http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=2031799&id=1379500386&l=47e7e76536)

Great panos Kirk. I agree with Jim, it's almost like being there.

Corey, great shots of the riders. You really captured some good expressions on their faces of what they were enduring. Thanks for sharing.
