Hi there, fellow Obs people--
I did a very enjoyable hike yesterday up to Mt. Adams via the Great Gully, which is a trail that diverges from the King Ravine trail a little below the steep part of the headwall. And like the upper King Ravine trail, it is very steep (goes from 3800 to 5100 in about a half mile), though it has a different style to it. Both are fun, but in different ways--the upper KR is all rubble and rock, where as the GG is a beautiful combination of plant life (a stream runs down the gully) and boulder scrambles. I do know how to post pictures on this forum (I've even done it a few times), but it involves quite a bit of resizing and some extra work, so bear with me for being lazy and just giving the link here:
