My group of friends had planed to hike Mt Washington beginning of September, it was pushed back to this weekend, a much colder and wetter weekend. I do really want to go as I've been planning for it for quite a bit, just not shopping for it.
My question is how miserable would hiking up without real rain gear and a nice fancy gortex jacket be? I would be able to do layers, I have cold weather underarmor type shirt but my winter jacket is a pea coat.
I would really love to go but not if I wont be enjoying my hike up. I thought I would ask some people with way more experience then myself as Ive never hiked Mt Washington before.
