Why doesn't my profile picture show with my user name? Just curious. When I check my setting etc it shows that I have it set as my profile pic, but I never see it show with my posts.

It could be that the file is too large? I looked under mine and this note specifies: "Note: The maximum size of your custom image is 100 by 100 pixels or 24.4 KB (whichever is smaller)." If that's the case, you will have to scale it down with a photo editing program.

It 100x75, so I don't think that' it. :(

Not sure, but a few other things you could try/consider:
- is it an accepted image format?
- delete present one and upload again
- reformat original to a different size within specs

Actually the picture that shows with your posts is your avatar, not your profile pic. It's under the User CP settings as well. The max size for an avatar pic is 80x80

Mark, thanks for pointing that out. Not sure which one that they are trying to upload to, though it is probably the avatar.

Thanks guys! Figured it out, it was the avitar (no idea what that was!) and I finally got it shrunk down. Now it looks horrible of course, but I got it figured out! And now I know what and avitar is!

Glad you got it figured out, and it looks fine. They're so small, it's hard to see them well anyway.

I have an url to a pic which I would like to use as my profile pic, however when I enter the url and save I get this error:

Upload failed due to failure writing temporary file.

Any ideas?

Try saving the file to your local computer, then upload it.
