I am climbing Mount Washington on Tuesday February 23, 2010. We are
taking the Lions Head Winter climbing route. Has anyone been on this trail
recently? Snowpack conditions? From the photos (webcam) it is difficult
to determine how much snow is up there. Is it icey? Mostly rock and dirt?
What can I expect? I don't think there is much snow in the forecast.

I was up there yesterday, and heard from the experts that the amount of snow is far less than usual. That said, there is still a lot of snow up there.

Remember, not everything you read on the internet is reliable, and conditions may have changed, but this is from a good source:

I went last year at this time. The day before I left the trail was pretty packed down, but the day of my hike it was to my knees with fresh snow. Lots of Fun.
