Hey everyone, I just wanted to give a quick trip report because I said I would!
Friday night I stayed in the AMC Joe Dodge Lodge. Had everything that I could need, a hearty breakfast in the morning and even wifi. This was the first time that I stayed here, and being right on the trail head I would highly recommend it.
Started the hike around 8:30AM. We took the Lions Head Winter route. Trail conditions where great. There was a good amount of snow cover from the last storm they got.
The View from the summit was perfect, barley a cloud in the sky! The wind speed had picked up by the afternoon making it that much for fun! I was told that it was 50 + mph but I am pretty bad at gauging that, so I don't know for sure.
Here are a few pictures that I took. Hope you like!
