Hey everyone I just wanted to give a quick trip report from todays hike.
Left my house at 4:30AM and arrived at Pinkham Notch around 7:30AM - I really wish I lived closer!
I decide to take the Lions Head winer route up to the summit. There was lots of bare spots going up Lions Head and some sections of exposed rock that made it a little difficult. I would still highly recommend having crampons and a ice axe!
Summit conditions where great! Warm and just a slight wind in the morning. On my way back down I could see the crowds of skiers and snowboards marching up Tucks.
I went back down Lions Head and still being early I made my way to Huntington ravine via the fire road. Huntington is one of my favorite places in the Whites.
Leaving Huntington I took the Huntington ravine trail back to where it meets up with Tucks and then back down to the parking lot. I was able to test out how water proof my new boots really are crossing the two rivers on my way! I think I wast the first person in a while that was on the Huntington ravine trail.
Was a great day, hope you enjoy my pictures. I will have to get a nice camera one of these days.
