June 12th is the Annual Meeting for the Mt Washington Observatory. It will be held this year at the AMC Highland Center in Crawford Notch. Who is going? It sounds like a great evening.

Make a weekend of it as there are hot air balloons in N Conway that weekend.

Mark,

Nice shot. I have done my share of being up in the air and hanging off cliffs. Solid ground is a very nice thing.

And the St Louis Arch is a nice thing too. Check out photo opportunities at this location.

This was taken from a friend's condo balcony.

Same here. Used to be in a LRRP unit in Korea (Long Range Recon Patrol). (http://www.bimmermail.com/korea.htm) We were always rappelling out of helicopters or off cliffs. That was when I was young and fearless (read:dumb). ;)

She will be there. But, afterwards we are heading to N Conway for the hot air balloons and the night shots of the "glow".

Now that was an awesome Annual Meeting!

You all will kick yourself that you did not go. As Charlie and I walked down the path from the parking area to the Highland Center we were walking along and a fox walked in the other direction - 3 feet away from Charlie. He just looked up at Charlie and walked on by! And the evening just got better from there.

It started with the official Annual Meeting which any corporation has to have. Then we had a reception with some cool food and it was a great chance to meet others. We ran into Kirk (Spyboy) and also Betty Pauwels from Facebook. Then a great dinner which was a surprise at how well it was done. Excellent.

Then we waddled back to the big meeting room for presentations about the Observatory and it's activities. This was excellent. No matter how much we have been involved or how closely we have been working with MWO, the talks were new news and very informative. Several people commented on how impressed they were with the people associated with MWO.

10:30 PM and we are home in Maine and ready for bed. The evening was extremely well done and very worth while going.

THANKS!

That sounds like a great day Brad. I will have to try to make next year's meeting. Thanks for letting us know how it went.

We saw Brian on the summit today and asked if they had video taped the presentations. The answer is no. But, it would be great if they would and provide them off the web site. They all were excellent.
