I plan to do Cabot and Waubek in July and was wondering if anyone could suggest a place to stay for a couple days up there? I dont' know that area, but would like to be close to one of the trail heads for either mountain. I'm thinking either camping, or one of those little cabins with a fire pit outside or something. Cheap, room for 2. I'd appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

There's a site near Unknown Pond on the way up to Cabot and then a cabin on the South side of the Cabot summit( Cabot Cabin)....don't know if that helps, but that's what I'd do.

Thanks for the tip! We found a campground in Lancaster that has a Tee pee that we're going to stay in! Pretty cheap too, and we can come back after the hike and have a nice little fire. And it's not too far from Waumbek. Cabot will be a little more of a drive, but much less than coming up from Southern NH!
