I'd seen a postcard of "Leon" the summit mascot from around 1900 or so. I've also see what looks like the same dog in stereoviews.

Wondering if anyone has more info?

More recently it seems there have been cats for quite some time.

All of these cats are beautiful...it must make life on the summit so much easier to have these little fellows around.

He has to keep in shape before the Winter doldrums come around and he doesn't get his outside exercise.:p

I haven't been on the forums for ages! Just looked at the cats on the summit fokti page. I forgot that I had posted some, including one of the elusive Jasper!
