Hmmm! I always thought the Yellow Sea was someplace in Asia . . . not Maryland!:D

But seriously Donna, your photos are absolutely stunning! You did a wonderful job of capturing this magnificent scene!

Thanks so much for taking a look and/or replying....BAXTERCA 2, KATHY, BOB, JOHN, ANNA, BRAD, CHARLIE and CHRIS.
Having lived in Maryland all my life, I've never seen anything like this firsthand until last weekend. Maybe in a photo from a magazine taken in the midwest, but not in Maryland. It really was something to see in person and literally would take your breath away. Mother nature (and farmers) certainly do provide us with an abundance of beauty. Glad you all enjoyed the pictures.

Absolutely amazing Donna! We experienced something similar in Connecticut this summer at a field that we didn't know existed either. It was big and quite amazing in its own right but nothing compared to the one in your pictures. I'd love to see some of the ones I've heard about out west.

Here's the CT field: http://www.facebook.com/album.php?aid=66025&id=1524393743&l=f99a55a2b2

There's an interesting story behind it as well: http://www.sunflowersforwishes.com/

Thanks for taking a look...

Patrick. Even though this field was spectacular, my favorite is still a field of lupines.

Mark What a super field of sunflowers you came upon this summer and the story of how it came about too! We've never been to Griswold CT. but once had lunch at the Griswold Inn in Essex, CT. A lot of history goes with these towns and the name Griswold.

Karl, As mentioned before, this was a first for us too. It really was truly amazing.
