Hey from the UK,

Randomly found your site looking for walking boots, I'm climbing Ben Nevis in January and in desperate need of some walking boots, got my eyes on these: http://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B003QCJPGY/ref=asc_df_B003QCJPGY1471904?smid=A3P5ROKL5A1OLE&tag=googlecouk06-21&linkCode=asn&creative=22206&creativeASIN=B003QCJPGY can anyone give me an indication if they're any good? I don't want to spend an arm and a leg as I'll only be using them from time to time, this is a charity thing.

Just thought I'd share some weather with you guys from across the pond, been really bad here for this past week, check out the photos: http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/picturegalleries/uknews/8186730/Frozen-Britain-travel-chaos-in-Scotland-as-snow-and-sub-zero-temperatures-return.html?image=18

My husband has a pair of these boots and he practically lives in them.

Weather has been pretty bad here - snow chaos in Scotland. We are just not prepared for anything out of the ordinary.

Hello from across the pond! Welcome to the forums. Those boots look very nice and comfortable, but at ?175.44 or $277.00, they may be a bit expensive if you are only going to use them occasionally. Not sure what your budget is though. Here in the states, good walking boots can be found for a lot less. And I personally always go to the store to try boots on before buying a pair. Good luck! And happy hiking. :)
