Beautiful weather on Saturday for nice long hike in alpine zone...up Boott Spur, over to Lakes of the Clouds, over to Alpine Garden, and down Huntington Ravine.

The first overlook from BST is at Harvard Rock.
The next image is from the Alpine Garden (illogically ordered, I know)
Next is diapensia on Boott Spur.
Next is a view from the junction of Davis Path and Boott Spur Trail.
Next is a view of Mt Monroe from Lakes of the Clouds.
Last is alpine azalea.

Can't wait!
Love the shot from "Lakes" - that's such an awesome place -
I rarely get up there when things are in full bloom - I should adjust my schedule.

we hiked down Boott Spur at the end of our trip on Father's Day Weekend. It was kind of long once we got down into the woods, but awesome above treeline.

We hiked that a couple weeks ago, up boot spur around glenn boulder and back to the welcome center.......what a day!:)
