A climber in pinnacle who had nearly topped out ( solo ) started to downclimb was involved in a slide. From what I'm reading a skier saw ( or heard ? ) the situation and was able to assist the climber who amazingly survived

Also a good reminder to all that no matter how experienced we are, we should always pay close attention to the avalanche conditions along with posted advisories. Further, even if climbing solo it can't hurt to carry a rope to rig up a quick self belay
