Sometimes having this modern technology just makes things worse. I spent a miserable day at work looking at the perfect winter conditions on the summit. Outstanding views, mild temps, almost no wind, and conditions stayed this way ALL DAY LONG!
Today would have been the day to climb in my book. Probably not too many fellow climbers, either. Haven't had too many days like this over this winter season. I always wish I was there, but today was exceptionally hard to bear.
The extremes are nice for you young thrill seekers, but when you reach my age what you hope for is a day like today for your climb.
Instead of having a glorious hike I'll just have to quote a terrible song: it was "...just another Manic Monday!"
