Hi Everyone,

Jill and I got out for the first time together in over a year. Jill's hiatus was due to the pregnancy and then having the baby, yatta yatta yatta. Anyway, she was really happy to get out on the trail.

Obviously, as you all know, our weather was awesome on Columbus day, except for a bit of haze. The colors were wonderful, especially around the ledges. The summit wasn't too crowded and we actually had it to ourselves for the first 20 minutes up there.

My full trip report is on my blog here: http://livefreeandhikenh.blogspot.com/2011/10/south-moat-mountain-with-my-favorite.html

Here are a couple of my favorite pics from the hike:

Great shots, KSearl. Thanks for sharing 'em.

Man, am I jealous of those of you who were able to get on the trail last weekend!

Great pictures despite the haze! Glad you two were able to get away and hike together again. Looks like a great day to be out!

Thanks Owen and neexpatriate! I appreciate the kind words! It was really a beautiful weekend...I can only imagine how cool the colors would have been without the haze!
