I went to EMS to look for a pair of insulated or not and i tried on all the extra large and they did not fit ,i went on line and they only have 1 that comes in 2 x
i may get a pair of theses and use my EMS rain pants over them
and why do they only have them with an in seam of 31 or 32

I have the same problem, but on the other side of the size spectrum. :D Why don't they make more sizes in both large and small? The same thing happens with street clothes too.

Charlie. I have a pair of these and I wore them one time over my EMS tech wick base with rain pants over the first time I attempted Mt. Pierce and I was so hot and was sweating my butt off and it was -4 out. You should ask Ryan or Brian if you really need them .

Unless I was sitting in an ice fishing shanty all day or climbing Denali I would never buy insulated "snow pants" for outdoor activities.
Insulation is what you wear under your water proof layer and can be adjusted as needed depending on the conditions.
For New England that would be:
Midweight long underwear
Expedition weight long underwear
Outer Layer (waterproof)
The outer layer and fleece layers should have full side zips.
