We are thinking of Sat Feb 18th at around 1 or 2 to meet at the 9-11 memorial. We could do lunch before or dinner after

I really would like to go, especially since I'm right across the river. Unfortunately I wouldn't know until just a few days before.

My Mom got hurt two weeks ago and don't have that much play time on the weekends catching up with her stuff. Hopefully she will be feeling better and able to get around more. Keeping my fingers crossed...:)

It would be nice if you and Walter can make it Kathy. It's looking like it will be on Feb 18th. A few of us from Philly will be heading up. Hope to see you! :)

We would love to have you join us. You can go online and get passes up to the day before at 9-11 memorial .com. They are free and you just download them. We are planning to go for 2PM. Will probably meet up for lunch before. Just let us know if you can join us

Right now it's not looking too good for me next week. I've been taking my Mom to therapy for 5 weeks now, she was doing better and being more like herself. Unfortunatley yesterday morning it's too painful for her to even walk again, she's basically slumped over her walker to get around.

I have to contact her Dr. on Monday try to get an MRI set up and see where that goes. With working at least 50 hrs a week, therapy and trying to keep everything going at home, there's not much play time right now.

We'll see how it goes.

Good luck this week Kathy. Hope your Mom begins to feel better soon. It would be nice to have you and Walter join us, but your schedule certainly looks full. We will try to take plenty of photos to share with all of you. :)

Bob and Mark, I'm sorry, even though I'm so close I just can't make it.
My Mom is in terrible pain and it's tough enough to go to work and leave her like this, Thank God Walter was home this week to look after her during the day and give her lunch.

I took her for an MRI yesterday and we go back on Monday, hopefully they will move quickly and make the appointments for the epidural shots if that's the route they will take. Right now she's on Oxycontin and that's barely working.

Hopefully next time and I am still planning for STP.

We will all miss having you and Walter there with us. :( Hopefully next time. And definitely for STP. :)

Your mother is in my prayers for a speedy recovery. She must be very happy to have the two of you by her side right now!

We had a nice visit to the 911 Memorial site in Lower Manhattan yesterday. It was very sad and
touching to be standing in the very place where so many people were killed just 10 short years ago.

Above is the reflecting pool and waterfall where the south tower once stood. There are two
pools, one for each tower.

The Freedom Tower, still under construction, will reach a total height of
1776 feet when completed.

Inside a temporary museum, until the true one is completed, this Flag of Honor hangs.

This display shows the possessions of a young man who perished on that
morning. Notice his wedding ring placed carefully in the center.

And a short video of the site can be found below. I apologize for it
being in a narrow portrait mode, instead of a wider landscape mode. I keep
forgetting to turn the cellphone horizontal. :o

If you are ever in Manhattan, I would encourage you to visit this memorial.
You will be glad you did!
